Education related activities in the Group

The Group is responsible for overseeing a range of Modules and a new Biomedical Electronic Engineering Programme, which leverage the cutting edge research interests of the academics in providing learning opportunities in a new and exciting exciting multi-disciplinary field. 

Academics in the Group provide teaching and learning activities to students of all levels: from introductory Summer Schools for school age students and first year introductory courses; through specialist modules and advanced specialist options for Masters Students; to advanced topics and seminars for PhD students and other members of the School.

The Group runs a Summer School at the beginning of July for A-level students to experience the cutting edge interface of electronics and healthcare technologies in a hi-tech research setting.

Delivered through the School of Electronics and Computer Science and with the Institute for Life Sciences, the Group provides the new degree Programme in Biomedical Electronic Engineering to the level of BEng or MEng. Modules cover a wide range of topics and, along with the latest in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, as well as Computer Science, provide students with technical knowledge, expertise and transferable skills with a strong multidisciplinary view.

The Group also delivers Modules across a range of undergraduate  and postgraduate taught (MSc) Programmes delivered in the School of Electronics and Computer Science
